Our mission is to provide an academically rigorous and supportive college-preparatory education with an interdisciplinary and applied focus on the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines in order to prepare students to become creative problem solvers, effective communicators, and tomorrow’s leaders who think ethically, independently, and globally. We are conveniently located in the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan Area on a beautiful 9-acre campus in Elkridge, MD.
MDIS is an authorized World School for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (Grades 1-5), Middle Years Programme (Grades 6-10), and Diploma Programme (Grades 11 & 12). We are the only school in Maryland and second in the Mid-Atlantic region to offer all three programmes of study.
In order to apply, you must:
- Attend a Virtual Open House or Personal Tour
- Complete the application, including self-assessments and essays as required by grade level.
- Complete an assessment of learning
