MDIS is a Maryland private high school located on a beautiful nine-acre campus at 6135 Old Washington Rd, Elkridge, MD, 22075. We are conveniently located and easily accessible from the greater Baltimore metropolitan region, Washington, D.C., and surrounding areas. Many of our students travel from Howard County, Anne Arundel County, Baltimore County, and Prince George’s County.

In PYP, students will have Spanish 2 hours/week. In MYP/DP, it will be every other day or daily, depending on grade level. French classes may potentially be added in the near future.
PYP classes average about 12-13 students per class. For classes approaching 17+ students, a teacher assistant may be brought in. MYP/DP classes average about 10-12 students per class.
All teachers at MDIS hold a Bachelor’s degree, at minimum, with several having Master’s degrees. Maryland state teaching certification is not required for private school teachers, however, our teachers do complete training in the International Baccalaureate curriculum approach. Additionally, many of our teachers also have international teaching experience.
